The Office of the County Clerk welcomes you to our Website.  In York County, the Clerk also serves as ex officio Election Commissioner and Register of Deeds.  The Clerk is a partisan-elective position with a four year term.  On this Website, you will find specific information and/or links to the many aspects of the Clerk's Office.

County Clerk

It is the general duty of the County Clerk to attend the sessions of the County Board, keep the County seal, records and papers and sign the record of the proceedings of the Board.  He/She shall make regular entries of its resolutions and decisions, to countersign all warrants, to preserve and file all accounts acted upon by the Board and to prepare and file with the Board the annual inventory statement of county personal property.  Additional responsibilities of the office include: Accounts Payable and County Employee Payroll; Administer Human Resources for County Employees; Issue Marriage Licenses and Issue liquor and tobacco licenses.
